Qualify
The Colorado HIBI program is for qualified Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program) members who have access to commercial health insurance. Commercial health insurance includes self-funded insurance, employer-sponsored insurance, or COBRA.

More about qualifying:
- The commercial health insurance policy must cover the Health First Colorado member(s) listed on your application.
- Along with your application, you must provide an official insurance premium rate sheet that includes information about your current policy or the policy you will enroll in once you are found eligible. Ask your insurance company or employer for this information.
Continuing your eligibility:
The Colorado HIBI program will verify that your insurance is active on a regular basis. You will also be asked to provide proof of your insurance premium payments quarterly.
